NCW Economic Development District Seeks New Executive Director
Located on the east slope of the beautiful Cascade Mountains, the North Central Washington Economic Development District (NCW EDD) seeks a self-motivated Executive Director (ED) professional to lead the non-profit regional economic development organization serving Chelan, Douglas, Okanogan Counties and the Colville Confederated Tribes.
The NCW EDD has brought in 1.07 million in Federal Funding this year. From a USDA infrastructure grant to support Plug In NCW’s high-amp 220 charging station network to the partnership with Thompson Okanagan Tourism Alliance and the Route 97 campaign, to being an economic development platform for Chelan/Douglas Trends and Community Attributes economic data websites, NCWEDD provides information, technical assistance and grant management to Counties, Municipalities and Businesses within the region This support drew 5 million in foreign direct investment and the retention or creation of 167 jobs. Roni Holder-Diefenbach, Chair of the NCW EDD hiring committee stated today that the EDD is confident that they can find someone who is ready to step in and provide the best Economic Development services and technical assistance to the communities and businesses in our region. We are looking for someone to fill the position who has great communication skills and the ability to connect with the diverse populations that we serve. We are confident that we can find someone with the experience and knowledge to fill the position.
